World Innovation Foundation Charity, a Swiss Charity With the impending registration in Switzerland of the World Innovation Foundation Charity, new members have been appointed to strengthen the WIF's Executive Management.
Dr. Lutz Baehr Director, International Development USA Brief bio Dr. Baehr was seconded from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations period 1987-2003. Director of the United Nations Centre for Science and Technology for Development, International Financial Coordinator of the United Nations with Financial Institutions, International Project Coordinator of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), honorary Chairperson of the Joint Appeals Board of the United Nations period 1991-2003. Prior to secondment to the United Nations served as Executive Director of the African Development Bank in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, representing for period 1983-1987 Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Portugal. Prior to this period at the African Development Bank was assigned with various functions and positions in the German Civil Service for period 1968-1983. Two of these assignments were at the German Embassy in Peru (1973) and the German Embassy in Indonesia for period 1975-1978). During Dr. Baehr's professional life he has been engaged in development policy issues, primarily in the context of science and technology, finance of development and operational activities in development cooperation. These engagements were founded his academic studies in sociology (master degree) and political science (PhD), oriented towards development and third world countries issues, including practical studies in Algeria (1964) and Vietnam (1965 to 1966).
