The Official Newsletter of the Institute of National Economic Enrichment and Development - The 'I.N.E.E.D'
Welcome To Scientific Discovery!
Scientific Discovery is the official publication for the members of the INEED and the followers of the ORE-STEM development throughout the world. Due to recent high demand and increased workload, the INEED has had no option but to make the Newsletter a bi-monthly production. We are sorry for this but it is unavoidable at the present time. Towards the year 2000 the institute will set out the necessity and reasons to why we have to build the ORE complex for the benefit of mankind. This will take the form of international analysis and their comparison with the United Kingdom, the USA and Europe, together with an insight into the socio-economic implications for the advanced industrialised nations of the world.
Strategic Thoughts
According to the latest figures, the Asian economies combined now account in terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) 52% of all the world's economic consumption. As an example given recently in the Economist magazie and using the exchange rate on 4th February 1998, Indonesia has a GDP of a mere US$51billion but in PPP terms that converts to US$1.020billion, a 20 fold buying power parity.
Last month the Chief Executive of British Petroleum plc. stated that China consumed 1 in 10 barrels of all the world's oil production a mere 25 years ago but now consumes 1 in 4 barrels of all the world's oil production. As the global oil demand has significantly increased several fold over the last 2.5 decades this gives a real indication of the industrial growth that has happened and taken place in China. The problem and the pre-eminent question that has to be asked in the West is, what will China's and all the other emerging Asian economies' oil / energy requirement be in a further 10, 20 or 30 years time and where will they get it from?
Comment
Energy and the discovery of new forms of energy sources will be one, if not the greatest challenge to prosperity and peace in the 21st Century.
News of the ORE-STEM Complex
The aerial photograph indicates the magnitude of the first phase of the ORE-STEM complex, covering some 2,200 acres (3.5 sq. miles). It is so large that the photographer could not fully obtain the total extent of the site on a single shot due to height and cloud constraints.
The benefits of the site positioning and for the world of Scientific Discovery and Creation
Ideal location for all future expansion of the initial complex
Ideal location for trade with Europe - open sea routes to the heart of the E.U.
Ideal location for transport systems without creating huge bottlenecks and further traffic congestion - near to the M1, M62 and A1 motorways
Near to an expanding international airport for scientists, engineers, inventors, corporates, industrialists and investors
Equidistant location with only slight deviation for industrial Britain
Central position in the United Kingdom for scientists , engineers, investors, corporates, industrialists and inventors to travel
Ideal location for all the industrialised and free nations of the world to exploit as one with Britain the future of scientific discoveries of the universe, particularly further Europe and the USA
